International Thimble Convention  (Indaba)  March 5 - 8, 2015.

The South African Thimble Collectors Club invites you to join us for our International Thimble INDABA (a Zulu word for ‘Convention’) from March 5 - 8, 2015.  The venue that we have chosen is a Safari Lodge that is only 1 hour from the Johannesburg International airport. March is a wonderful time to visit South Africa as it is towards the end of summer time in the southern hemisphere and you will experience mild weather conditions.

The Kwalata Lodge is an exciting convention venue with superb facilities and accommodation. There are game viewing drives and safari trips.  It is also close to the Mandela Cultural village that is well known for its African handicrafts. There will be both local and International thimble and sewing tool programme presentations as well as thimble sales.  One of the special events that we are planning is an evening, under the starry African skies, experiencing the heartbeat of the African drums.  The exchange rate of all major currencies is very favourable and you will get excellent value for your money.
