Conventions

Thimble Collectors International holds a convention every two years. However, due to the worldwide COVID pandemic, the convention that was scheduled for 2020 had to be postponed.

The 2020/22 convention, held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was so much fun.  The convention became known as ‘Camp Thimble’ and it was based on an outdoor theme. The host group, Nimble Fingers Thimble Club (NFTC) went out of their way to make this convention a roaring success. Bidding at the auction was lively and many members added something new to their collection.

There are still a few of the official TCI convention thimbles available for sale. Visit the STORE to purchase this thimble and other official TCI merchandise.  The sterling silver 2020 Coeur d’Alene thimble is stunning! Don’t delay if you wish to add one of these Limited Edition thimbles to your collection. The thimble was designed by TCI member, Nicole Ehrlich and made by Simons Bros. of Philadelphia, PA. When they are gone, that’s it – we do not reorder convention thimbles. They become collector items.

The 2024 TCI Convention will be held in Brookfield, Wisconsin, from 11 September – 14 September 2024. SAVE THE DATES.  This convention will be hosted by the Dairyland Thimblers.

The convention forms and general information will be available to members on the Members Only side of the website beginning on January 27, 2024.

To attend a TCI convention, you must be a member in good standing (or the guest of the attending member) and stay at the designated convention hotel. Convention delegates take advantage of our convention rate for the hotel which applies for three (days) before and three (3) days after a convention.

For more information about the Wisconsin 2024 convention, please contact Judith McGraw,  VP Conventions.

If you have never attended a convention, you are missing out on a lot of fun. The sales mall is where you will find fabulous treasures to add to your collection. The thimble and needlework tool programs are always informative. Best of all … you get to meet new collectors and catch up with old friends who travel from different states within the USA and from around the world.
